Within one month of taking the seminar, I worked 4 days on the Seattle Int'l Film Fest Promo as more of a grip than PA, but made a lot of good contacts. Directly after that, the 1st AD hired me for a 1-day Microsoft shoot that payed $200. Next I worked on "Americas Got Talent." Dylan (April '09 graduate) "I worked Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the [America's Got Talent] Tacoma event and had a blast. Possibly one of the most fun things I've done recently. I got to meet such a wide range of interesting people (both PA's and people auditioning). The hours were remarkably longer than I ever anticipated (Saturday was insane), but there was so much going on that the days didn't seem as long as they were. I'm so glad I went." Alexie (March '09 graduate) Thanks for the workshop this weekend. I definitely learned a lot. Hey, I just got a gig mixing a documentary. Kind of a rush job but super cool all the same! Jefferson (November '08 graduate) I actually went through a PA seminar in LA way back in 94 and then a Coordinator seminar. Such a great idea and much needed, and I'll definitely put [your graduates] on our pa list! Ross (Producer) This looks like a very well thought out and valuable workshop for Talent looking to round out a living in the entertainment industry. In fact, I had a stint as a PA as well.
