WHAT IS A "PA" ?

Production Assistant (PA) work is a GREAT way to break into the motion picture industry. It's a well-paying entry-level position and can open doors into other areas such as:

Acting, Art, Camera, Casting, Catering, Directing, Electric, Grip, Locations, Management, Makeup, Sound, Video Playback, Wardrobe & Writing.

As new opportunities present themselves for seasoned PAs, replacement openings arise on a regular basis. The busy summer season also creates possibilities for seasonal PA jobs.

Specialized PA training takes only 2 days and can be completed in one weekend. You'll learn the skills needed to work in any production office or set NATIONWIDE! You'll also learn where to look for jobs and who to contact.

Average PA wages for television commercials range from $175 to $225 per day!

Each project usually lasts 1 to 8 days. The work is physically demanding and the days are long (10-14 hrs). It is recommended that PAs have a clean driving record and their own transportation. PAs should also have a working knowledge of downtown streets and surrounding neighborhoods.
